Benefits of Membership

2025 Benefits of
Briarwood Estates Residents’ Association (BERA) Membership

BERA maintains our subdivision entrance (the single, most important measure of a subdivision’s quality) by paying for lawn service, tree trimming, utilities (water and electricity) needed to keep our subdivision entrance maintained and presentable.

BERA provides notices to all residents on the system concerning safety, security, and subdivision information via email and through our HOA website www.berabr.com

BERA has paid and maintains security cameras at the front entrance accessible to the police in case of emergencies or theft.   Briarwood enjoys a very low crime rate.

BERA pays attorney fees for updating subdivision restrictions and providing legal opinions concerning the property rights of BERA residents.

BERA is a member of the Federation of Greater Baton Rouge Civic Associations.  Board members regularly attend and participate in the FGBRCA meetings and the Metro 9 Zoning meetings.

BERA periodically updates our subdivision directory.

BERA pays for neighborhood social events such as a spring crawfish boil for everyone and a Christmas party for the adults.

BERA provides refreshments for the annual membership meeting where the board reports to the members, new board members are elected, and issues are discussed.

BERA recognizes and encourages beautiful lawns with its Yard of the Month designation.

BERA keeps residents informed through the front entrance message board.

BERA is a member organization of Telco Credit Union and as such, its members enjoy excellent and convenient neighborhood banking.

BERA maintains strict accounting principles for non-profit organizations through proper income tax filings and licensing by the Louisiana Department of Revenue and Secretary of State.
